Best Conversion Pages Are Mostly Ignored By Search Engine

Something I cannot understand why most of the search engines love boring and detailed website? Everyone knows Wikipedia is authority website, but do you actually want to read those? Yuck.. when it is served on the top of the first page I don’t even want to click it because I know I don’t want to read those.

This morning, I was listening to an interview with Keith Baxter, one of those GURUs out there in IM, and it was about cloaking and redirection. There was a question asked :

Why do you need to redirect to another page? Why can’t you pitch your sales on the page google rank you high?

So, this expert answered,

Well, the high ranking page happens to be page with the lowest conversion.

He is absolutely right. Till this day, it is still the same, sales letter simply got no place in google ranking. A page highly optimized is very hard to pitch.

The reason I am writing this is, I spent the whole of 2 days trying to solve this problem. Many of my affiliate colleagues as me to change my main page, and this main page is highly optimized and google loves it because I got the top spot of that keyword term.

However, the conversion was terrible. How do I improve on the conversion and maintain my ranking? Well, unless I have huge amount of backlinks to this mainpage, otherwise, I really worry if it will affect my page.

I made a separate page, totally a salespage and I read through it, it was really not an optimized copy. It is very hard to produce a page which is having the highest conversion and yet fully optimized.

So, for now, I would just have to do redirect to the page with the highest conversion. And I still haven’t figure out the best way to better redirect it and not make it like cloaking..

Will update when I found my best way.

One Man Show

One day, I only get 4 hours to sleep .. and my dream must be materialized in 5 years time .. , my short term ie. reaching end of this year should be a USD100/day target.

However, recent market turmoil had really hit hard and my sites traffic is going down. If there is any changes, my target will be slightly change to having sales at least 1 per day.

I still think of if I able to create 10 websites per year.. and in 5 years time I will be having 50 sites .. each contributing USD200/month , then I should be getting USD10k per month which is my long term goal. Problem is one man show really cannot be done .. or can I? with only 4 hours a day sleep every day every year until i achieve my target? .. I notice that google like active website ,, if I have 50 websites how the hell am I able to make all the 50 websites active all the time? …

tough … must think of a way..

Inspired by Sir Richard Branson

I watched this interview (it’s between 3 entrepreneurs and Richard Branson)  and I am so inspired by what he had done. I am particularly would like to talk about is the part when the interviewer asked Richard about how he worked it out when during the time he started out, when he was so busy and how he managed to find time for his family since he is loving his kids and wife so much.

What he told was really something I want to replicate. I used to think that my kids are so noisy, so disturbing and my wife is so nagging, that at one point I had enough and I want to move out, otherwise I won’t be able to concentrate. I guess, I was wrong, I need to change my mindset and really having to be able to work and at the same time being with them (although not really fully pay attention with them) is a blessing.

No matter how busy or how not able to entertain them, just being with them is good enough to keep the family going.

Thank you for the amazing insight , and I found the video is so inspiring.

Malaysia Hacker

Well, heard about the recent arrest of the Malaysian hacker who hacked into US Federal Reserve and also stolen many credit cards information.

It was reported that the guy is highly skillful in hacking and this indicate that Malaysian hackers are by far some of the most genius in the world. For me, this story has 2 folds. This is not to discredit about the hacker ability, but, if a security system is not tight enough, it will be easily breached.

On the other side, the guy is obviously skilled. But he is not alone. Normally hackers develop skills by sparring with another partners, and they are linked up and help to polish each other skills.

So, there is another side of this story. I feel internet and networking are having many loopholes. I believe there are many talented hackers out there. Luckily mostly are ethical and doing for the good instead of causing harm.

Besides that, it is either not caught, or those who is still doing hacking are doing it safe. It is not easy to catch them. I believe there are many hacking going on out there. Really, it is that vulnerable outside in the internet world.

Obviously if I say something like this means I know abit about how the hackers carry out their activities, but I am not linked with them. I don’t do anything illegal or causing harm to public.

Dream About Afterworld

Before I totally forget what I had dreamt last night, I better jot it down in this blog as this probably a message sent from god. Or was I thinking too much of doomsday.

Anyway, as the clock ticking down to the end of the world was I strapped in a seat which is fastened tight and was about to go into a journey that was never taken before.

It was a point of no return, the feeling was so real, I was anticipating all kind of feeling. I was thinking I will be hurled by massive ball of fires, the heat, the debris, the sensational pain.

But all that were not coming. There was no pain at all. I had passed through the point where I reached a strange world. A dimension where everything were so good, I was feeling really good. It is peaceful, people are so nice, no worry of anything, no pressure to earn money to have all the things in this world.

I wander around, and I really like it. Is this what heaven is? The place was brighten with white light. I haven’t got much to enjoy because I was awaken and it’s morning. For the first time I can really remember it well. It’s vivid and it’s real.
